Bondi Reveals Probe into Trump Adversaries and Jeffrey Epstein Links

On Friday, the Attorney General appointed interim US attorney Jay Clayton to head an inquiry into opponents of the President and their links with the late financier. This action came just after Trump ordered her to launch the probe.

During an announcement, the Attorney General praised Clayton as “among the nation’s top prosecutors”. The official remarked, “This case will be addressed with speed and honesty to ensure public transparency.”

This action contrasts with a recent memorandum from federal authorities which stated that documents related to Epstein did not warrant further inquiries. According to the document, investigators “lacked sufficient evidence to pursue cases against other parties.”

Trump Demands Focus on Political Opponents in the Epstein Matter

This news comes as increasing demands from the president on lawmakers to oppose the public disclosure of Epstein-related documents before an upcoming House vote in the coming days. Several lawmakers are anticipated to support the release.

Newly public emails from Jeffrey Epstein have spotlighted Trump’s past involvement with the convicted criminal, including information that he was more aware of Epstein’s actions than earlier acknowledged.

That same day, Trump announced he would ask the Department of Justice to investigate Epstein’s ties with Democrats, including prominent individuals such as Clinton, Summers, and Hoffman. Paradoxically, Trump also referred to the “Epstein situation” as a “deception”.
